About The Role

The Fish Processing Labourer is responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to the processing, packing, and storage of fish and seafood products. This role requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and adherence to safety and hygiene standards to ensure high-quality output in a fast-paced environment.

This position may involve any of the following duties subject to training and capabilities: 

• Cutting, filleting, and deboning fish


• Trimming, deworming, and further processing fish as required


• Sorting, grading and packing fresh and frozen fish


• Weighing, labeling and palletizing finished products


• Loading and unloading freezer plates


• Operating processing equipment, such as skinning machine, conveyor lines, descaling machine, forklifts


• Assisting team members with lifting, moving or completing production tasks


• Always adhering to food safety and workplace safety protocols


• Maintaining personal hygiene standards in compliance with regulations


• Supporting other plant operations or tasks as assigned during peak production periods
