Job Description - Fixed Operations Group Manager

As a Senior Fixed Operations Manager,you'll oversee the efficient operation of the service and parts departments,ensuring optimal workflow, exceptional customer service, and adherence tocompany standards and policies. If you excel in leadership, possess a deepunderstanding of automotive service and parts processes, and are dedicated todelivering a high quality customer experience, this role is for you!

Job Duties :

· Forecasts goals and objectives for the departments and strives tomeet them together in General Manager assistance.

· Hires, trains, motivates and monitors the performance of the FixedOperations Department.

· Prepares and administers an annual operating budget for the serviceand parts departments in together with General Managers.

· Maintains reporting systems required by general management and themanufacturer.

· Attends managers meetings.

· Monitors the performance of the service, parts, and body shopdepartments.

· Strives for harmony and teamwork within the departments and withall other departments.

· Understands, keeps abreast of, and complies with federal, state andlocal regulations that affect repair operations.

· Understands and ensures compliance with manufacturer warranty andpolicy procedures.

· Holds weekly department meetings.

· Establishes and maintains good working relationships with staffmembers.

· Fosters professional employee development and coordinates withdepartment managers to determine need for advanced training.

· Makes customer satisfaction a department priority, ensuring thatservice and parts personnel are courteous and respectful in their interactionwith customers.

· Handles customer complaints immediately and according todealership’s guidelines.

· Administers warranty claims, reviews warranty policy adjustments,understands and applies warranty guidelines, ensures correct processing ofclaims, and communicates warranty information and clarifications to customers.

· Develops dealership service and parts pricing plans and recommendsto dealer or general manager.

· Works with parts and service managers to find ways to improve theoverall profitability of the dealership.

· Keeps abreast of new equipment and tools available and recommendspurchases.

· Establishes and maintains good working relationships withvocational and technical schools to enhance personnel recruitment activities.

· Serves as liaison with factory representatives.

· Maintains safe work environment.

· Other duties as assigned.

Successful Candidates Possess:

· Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university; orone to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combinationof education and experience.

· 5 to 10 years related experience and/or training; or equivalentcombination of education and experience related to similar previous roles.

· Experience at Dealership store levels – knowledge of Import anddomestic brands.

· Possess a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.

· Professional demeanour andappearance.

· Ability to work in a team andpossesses strong interpersonal skills with an upbeat and engaging attitude.

· Self-motiving with excellentwork ethic

· Ability to problem solve andhigh attention to detail.

· Loves a fast pace environment.

· Computer skills andunderstanding of technology.

· Experience with DealershipManagement Systems considered an asset.
