Job Description - Floor Manager- Food & Beverage

The Four Points by Sheraton - Kelowna Airport is currently looking for a Floor Manager- Food & Beverage. We are also on a bus route, with a stop just outside of the hotel, and are offering shared staff accommodation. Our complimentary shuttle also picks up our employees from the bus loop at UBCO. What will you be doing? Under the direction of the Food & Beverage Manager and Assistant Managers, Floor Manager- Food & Beverage is accountable for the day-to-day operations of the restaurant including staff training, light administration and active floor supervision during service. Build and maintain relationships with guests, team members and management alike Show leadership in creating a culture that revolves around the experience and enjoyment of food and wine Demonstrate high personal integrity, business ethics and takes every opportunity to promote the venue    Communicate the vision to all team members and lead by example. Reinforce the Gulfstream and Four  Points by Sheraton values daily, and inspires the team with his/her exciting vision for the future Use conflict resolution and problem solving skills  Assist with the tracking of sales, invoicing, and managing inventory  Conduct briefings with service staff prior to each service Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards Strive for maximum efficiency and continual improvement of staff productivity Participate or be aware of the Health & Safety Committee, ensuring that the Occupational Health & Safety Act and WSIB procedures are being followed Ensure facility is well maintained, repaired and spotless at all times Train staff in job duties, and sanitation and safety procedures Set staff work schedules and monitor staff performance Additional duties as assigned or required What are we looking for? To successfully fill this role, you should demonstrate the following: Minimum 2 years’ supervisor experience in a high volume, fast paced hospitality environment.
