Position Summary

Supervise work crews, ensuring proper crushing methods are maintained.  Oversee productivity and safety of project.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise, co-ordinate and schedule the activities of Machine Operators and Labourers


• Establish methods to meet work schedules and co-ordinate work activities with other project supervisors or managers


• Inspect work to ensure conformance with specifications


• Requisition materials and supplies


• Resolve work problems and recommend measures to improve productivity


• Train or arrange for training of workers


• Prepare production and other reports

• Ensure and enforce compliance to all company, client and legislated safety policies and procedures


• Any additional duties and responsibilities as may be assigned by from time to time.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma generally required


• Prior experience as worker


• Knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA), Ministry of the Environment guidelines


• First Aid and C.P.R. training


• Strong mathematical ability

• Valid Ontario ‘G’ driver’s license

Working Conditions 

• Typical hours: Monday to Friday, 6:00 am to 6:00 pm, additional hours including occasional weekends when required ;


• Significant physical effort. Significant exposure to environmental conditions;
