Foreman/Supervisor

Option Excavating is looking for an experienced Foreman / Supervisor to lead our underground utilities crews. As we continue to grow and ramp up for a busy construction season, we're seeking a motivated leader with experience in water and sewer construction who is committed to safety, quality, and delivering projects efficiently.

The successful candidate will oversee daily site operations, coordinate crews and equipment, and ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and to specification.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead water and sewer construction crews on a daily basis.


• Plan and coordinate daily work activities to meet project schedules.


• Read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and grades.


• Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and inspectors.


• Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with company policies and industry standards.


• Monitor productivity, workmanship, and quality control.


• Conduct daily safety meetings and promote a strong safety culture.


• Identify and resolve job site challenges efficiently.


• Complete daily reports and required project documentation.


• Mentor and support crew members while fostering a positive team environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Foreman or Supervisor in underground water and sewer construction.


• Strong knowledge of underground utility installation practices and construction methods.


• Ability to read construction drawings, specifications, and grades.


• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.


• Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship.


• Valid driver's licence required.
