WHAT YOU WILL DO

Under the direction of the Forest Land Managers, you will be a part of, and support, the forest management team that is responsible for the overall management and engagement of numerous private properties in New Brunswick and Nova Scotia.

With a considerable field component, the Forester/Technician will provide guidance in the implementation of harvesting and silviculture prescriptions, assist in log sales and marketing, the creation of forest management/operating plans, infrastructure assessments and planning, block layout activities and day-to-day access and referral responses. The ideal candidate will be interested in continuing their career development in forest management and have the ability to work well within a group and independently.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

• A safety conscious attitude;


• Post-secondary education in a relevant discipline;


• Experience in operational planning, including block and road layout, harvest prescriptions (including non-clearcut), harvest supervision, timber cruising, field assessments, etc. are considered assets;


• Experience in creating and implementing Forest Management Plans;


• Proficient with forestry related software, GIS and Microsoft Office;


• A valid driver’s license and safe driving record
