Honorarium Position

Overview

The Arts & Science Formal Conveners are responsible for planning and managing the annual Arts & Science formal, a key event for the graduating class. They oversee the fiscal accountability of the event, ensuring it aligns with the budget and financial expectations. The Conveners collaborate with the Formal Committee and the ASUS Executive to make strategic decisions and ensures the event runs smoothly.

Application Deadline

Applications are due by March 30th, 2025 at 5PM EST.

Time Commitment and Remuneration

Term: May 1st, 2025 – April 30th, 2026

Hours: 6-8 hours per week

Honorarium: Awarded based on the Honorarium Grid in the Human Resources Policy (Click here)

Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage the fiscal accountability of the formal, ensuring it stays within budget.
• Hire and coordinate members of the formal committee for task delegation.
• Decide on the formal theme in collaboration with the formal committee.
• Organize the sale of formal tickets, including pricing and distribution.
• Meet bi-weekly with the ASUS Executive to provide updates and status checks on event progress.
