Job Description - Front Counter Equipment Rental Representative (Rentco's Tool Shed)

Rentco's Tool Shed (a division of Rentco Equipment Ltd.) is a local company that has been servicing Grande Prairie and the Peace Country for over 60 years. They provide the tools and equipment to complete home-owner repairs and maintenance. Rentco's Tool Shed is also a "go-to" place in Grande Prairie for event rentals, permanent holiday lighting, and Stihl and Husqvarna tools.

We are currently hiring a full-time Front Counter Equipment Rental Representative.

As the Front Counter Equipment Rental Representative, you are responsible for:

Assisting customers in-store and over the phone by providing information about our equipment and stock
Processing customer rentals and purchases
Maintaining a high level of product and service knowledge
Participating in merchandizing and promotional activities
Preparing detailed invoices and customer statements
Creating work orders for damaged or deficient equipment
Verifying received shipments by checking order against shipping documents and notify Manager of any discrepancies and omissions
Keeping shelf selection areas stocked and clean and orderly

You have the following skills and abilities:

Previous experience in the retail industry or proven knowledge of yard and home maintenance equipment
Ability to work Monday to Friday from either 8-5 or 9-6 and on a Saturday rotation with increased hours, including Sundays during the spring and summer
Excellent customer skills
Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
Intermediate computer skills, including programs Microsoft Excel and Outlook, and the ability to learn our internal software
