Job Description - Full Time Front Line Supervisor

The position of Front-Line Supervisor is an entry-level management position which assists the Assistant Director in managing front-line day-to-day operations of New Hope Leslieville

Minimum 2-year Diploma in Humanities and Social Services.

Certification in First Aid/CPR, and Non-Violent Crisis Intervention and Conflict Resolution.

Alternative combinations of education and experience may be considered.

EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE:

2 to 3 years minimum of significant work-related experience including residential and case management experience in the homeless serving sector.

Previous supervisory experience an asset.

Experience with marginalized individuals and familiarity to a wide variety of resources to meet client needs.

SKILLS AND CAPABILITIES:

High level of comfort working within a diverse and multicultural environment.

Excellent verbal and written skills.

Proficient with Microsoft Office.

Ability to undergo applicable screening and background checks successfully that are satisfactory to The Salvation Army, in its sole discretion (i.e., The Salvation Army Abuse Registry) and provide an original copy of a Background Check with vulnerable sector

Ability and willingness to develop an understanding and support for the mission and purpose of The Salvation Army in Canada and its implications as related to position responsibilities.
