Pay Rate: $22.61/hour

Schedule: Continental Rotation (0800–2000 / 2000–0800)

As part of Paladin Security, you’ll help protect patients, staff, and visitors while maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism.

What You’ll Do

• Maintain a professional, visible, and alert presence across hospital grounds
• Greet, assist, and direct patients, visitors, and staff
• Perform proactive and reactive patrols (interior and exterior)
• Respond to emergencies, incidents, and alarms
• Enforce hospital policies, parking regulations, and smoking by-laws
• Support patient watches and de-escalate situations as required
• Monitor CCTV systems, manage access and key control
• Conduct safety inspections and prepare detailed incident reports
• Work independently and as part of a healthcare security team

Must-Have Qualifications

• Valid Ontario Security Guard License
• Valid First Aid & CPR – Level C certification (from a WSIB-approved provider)
• Ability to be clean-shaven to pass an N95 Mask Fit Test
• Proof of full COVID-19 vaccination (minimum 2 doses)
• Immunization records (MMR, Varicella, Pertussis, TB Skin Tests – Step 1 & 2)
• Legally authorized to work in Canada
• Fluent in English (oral & written)
• Full-time availability with a 6-month commitment

Nice to Have

• 6+ months of security experience (healthcare preferred)
• 6+ months of customer service experience
• Bilingual (English/French) considered an asset
• Stay Safe certification (available through Paladin’s onboarding program — at no cost, with a 6-month employment commitment)

• Competitive hourly wage: $22.61/hour
• Overtime pay after 88 hours (Averaging Agreement)
