As a Patient Watch Guard, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the safety and security of patients, visitors, and healthcare staff in a dynamic hospital environment. You’ll be part of a supportive team that values professionalism, communication, and compassion.

What You’ll Do

• Patrol hospital facilities (interior/exterior) in all weather conditions
• Monitor patients, assist staff, and maintain a calm, safe environment
• De-escalate situations and respond to incidents or medical emergencies
• Enforce hospital and by-law regulations, including access and parking
• Write detailed incident reports and conduct investigations
• Support emergency services when required
• Maintain key and access control, and perform safety inspections
• Work independently or collaboratively during 12-hour shifts
• Pass an N95 Mask Fit Test (must be clean-shaven)

Must Have

• Valid Ontario Security Guard License
• Valid First Aid & CPR – Level C (from a WSIB-approved source)
• Proof of minimum 2 doses of COVID-19 vaccination
• Immunization records (MMR, Varicella, Pertussis, TB Skin Tests – Step 1 & 2)
• Fluent in English (oral and written)
• Legally authorized to work in Canada
• Full-time availability for the next 6 months

Nice to Have

• Bilingual (English/French)
• 6+ months of security or healthcare security experience
• Stay Safe Certification (or willingness to complete during onboarding)
• 6+ months customer service experience
