Overview

Paladin Security is seeking motivated and professional Security Officers to join our team at our Trans Alta site in Wabamun, AB. This role requires strong communication skills, a customer-focused mindset, and the physical capability to conduct extensive patrols. Successful applicants will demonstrate sound decision-making, professionalism under pressure, and a commitment to maintaining a safe environment for staff, clients, and the public.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service and maintain strong relationships with clients and patrons.
• Conduct proactive patrols to ensure safety and identify policy breaches.
• Respond promptly and professionally to alarms, emergencies, and security incidents.
• De-escalate crisis situations and liaise with police, fire, and paramedic personnel.
• Exercise effective crowd control and remove trespassers when required.
• Prepare clear and detailed reports including incident, emergency, liability, and daily activity logs.
• Operate two-way radios and computer applications to communicate site activity.
• Manage Lost & Found items and inquiries.

• Holding or able to obtain a valid Alberta Security License.
• Class 5 Unrestricted Driver’s License.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong customer service ability.
• Strong observational skills and situational awareness.
• Ability to make immediate, composed decisions during emergency situations with minimal supervision.
• Ability to walk 18–20 km and climb stairs as part of regular patrol duties.
• Must live in or near Wabamun, AB (Spruce Grove, Parkland County, surrounding areas).
• High School Diploma/GED.
