• Successful completion of the paramedic physical fitness assessment
• Vulnerable Sector Criminal Records Search
• Satisfactory Driver’s Abstract
• Compliance with current communicable disease standards, as outlined by MOHLTC
• Successful completion of Base Hospital Symptom Relief and Defibrillation certification
• Valid documentation and suitability for allowable entry into the US for cross-border transfers

What We Are Looking For:

• Graduate of an approved College Paramedic Program
• Valid CPR certification - certified within the last 12 months.
• A-EMCA certificate.
• Valid Class F Driver’s Licence; good driving record and good driving skills;
• Able to identify patient treatment needs and provide appropriate care;
• Physically capable of lifting and carrying heavy patients and equipment;
• Available to work all shifts, as scheduled, in a 24 hour per day, seven day per week operation;
• Good interpersonal skills; able to communicate effectively; to work closely with the entire healthcare team;
• Good teamwork skills; ability to work closely with a partner for extended periods of time;
• Able to work in stressful situations and exercise sound judgment in emergency situations; critical thinker.
