SCOPE OF POSITION:
Under the supervision of the Manager, Program Development, Quality and Knowledge, and in coordination with the Fund Development Department and the Policy, Campaigns and Communications Department, the Funding Officer will contribute to Oxfam Canada’s institutional funding strategy. The Funding Officer will advance Oxfam Canada’s funding diversification efforts, in particular, the identification and stewardship of relevant institutional donors, such as Government Departments, Crown Corporations or large Foundations, which have the potential to contribute to Oxfam Canada’s international and domestic women’s rights programs, in addition to pursuing opportunities for funding with Global Affairs Canada (GAC). The Funding Officer will foster strategic relationships with prospective institutional donors, and partners, act as lead for Oxfam Canada as the account manager for GAC and coordinate the development and submission of quality institutional funding proposals. The Funding Officer will access the full range of institutional funding opportunities available to Oxfam Canada as a member of the international Oxfam Confederation..
