GCP Architect

Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Architect to join our dynamic team. As a GCP Architect, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing complex cloud solutions on Google Cloud Platform. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful deployment and optimization of cloud-based applications and services. Your expertise in GCP services, infrastructure as code, security best practices, and architectural design will play a crucial role in shaping our cloud environment.

Responsibilities:

   Cloud Architecture Design:

   
   
   
   
   • Design scalable, reliable, and cost-effective cloud architectures that meet business requirements and industry best practices.
   
   
   • Develop technical solutions that encompass a wide range of GCP services, including compute, storage, networking, databases, analytics, and machine learning.
   
   
   
   


2. 
   

   Infrastructure as Code (IaC):

   
   
   
   
   • Utilize infrastructure as code tools (e.g., Terraform, Deployment Manager) to automate the provisioning and management of cloud resources.
   
   
   • Implement version control and maintain documentation for infrastructure code.
   
   
   
   


3. 
   

   Cloud Migration and Deployment:

   
   
   
   
   • Lead cloud migration projects, including assessment, planning, and execution of workload migration to GCP.
   
   
   • Collaborate with development teams to ensure seamless deployment of applications in the cloud environment.

   Security and Compliance:

   
   
   
   
   • Implement and enforce security best practices, including identity and access management, data encryption, and network security.
   
   
   • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations relevant to cloud computing.

   • Monitor and analyze system performance, identifying opportunities for optimization and cost reduction.

   • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, DevOps engineers, and project managers, to align cloud solutions with business goals.

   • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in cloud technology and GCP services.
   
   
   • Evaluate and recommend new tools, services, and practices to enhance the cloud environment.
   
   
   
   

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (Master's preferred).


• Proven experience as a Cloud Architect with a focus on Google Cloud Platform.


• Google Cloud Professional Architect certification is highly desirable.


• Strong expertise in cloud architecture design, IaC, and deployment methodologies.


• In-depth understanding of GCP services, including Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine, BigQuery, Cloud Storage, etc.


• Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.


• Knowledge of security best practices and compliance frameworks.


• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.


• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
