Gemologist

Job description:

Canada Gold is a national precious metals recycling company looking to hire a full-time Gemologist to work at our Surrey office. We also sell one of a kind preowned jewellery online through our sister company 100ways.com.

We are seeking a candidate who is personable, friendly, and exhibits excellent customer service while identifying the characteristics of various gemstones.

Key responsibilities:

• Work in office at our Surrey location to purchase gold and precious gemstones.


• Assist customers with other types of transactions, like buying or selling bullion.


• Create grading cards for diamonds and gemstones that will be sold online.


• Photograph and post fine jewellery online on our Shopify store.


• A portion of this role of this role will be client-facing, so amazing customer service is a priority

Qualifications:

• A Graduate Gemologist degree, or a GIA accredited Gemologist. Must be able to grade both diamonds, and coloured stones.


• Previous experience in a customer service role.


• 1-3+ years of previous experience in the jewellery industry.

We are presently looking for a candidate available to work 5 days per week.
