General Labour

Atlantic Road Construction & Paving is a well established heavy civil construction company specializing in mass excavation, drilling & blasting, pipeline & underground utility placement, concrete placement and asphalt paving. We are looking for eager, hardworking individuals to join our team. No direct experience required, however, the successful candidate will be comfortable working on their feet, outside, performing a variety of physically strenuous manual labour tasks. 

Requirements

• Valid drivers license and reliable transportation preferred but not required depending on candidate location. 


• Proven ability to work on their feet for extended periods of time. 


• Comfortable working outside, in most types of weather.  


• A positive attitude and safety conscious outlook towards work.


• Reliable, punctual & organized. 


• Experience operating heavy equipment considered an asset but not required.
  


• Strong attention to detail.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Follow directions as set out by site foreman


• Daily inspection of tools and equipment.


• Complete a large variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labour. 


• Ensure company equipment is operated, cared for, maintained, and used effectively.


• Daily involvement in safety conscious activities and tailgate meetings.


• Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with all rules and regulations set forward by the Foreman.


• Learning how to operate a wide variety of heavy equipment.


• Communicate effectively with the Foreman and other team members.


• Other various construction related activities as instructed.
