What You'll Be Doing

• Keeping buildings and property in clean and orderly condition.


• Performing routine maintenance activities.


• Performing heavy cleaning duties.


• Sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and/or vacuuming floors.


• Gathering and emptying trash.


• Scrubbing, sanitizing, and stocking restroom facilities.


• All food-contact surfaces are scrubbed, sanitized, and stocked.


• Dusting furniture, walls, and equipment.


• Cleaning windows, mirrors, and partitions with soap and other cleansers.


• Cleaning solutions and chemicals must be mixed and handled in containers according to instructions and in accordance with Occupational Health and Safety guidelines and procedures, including WHIMIS.


• Following procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power machinery to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.


• Managing the inventory of cleaning supplies.


• Notifying managers regarding the need for repairs or additions to building operating systems.


• Performing snow removal, if applicable.


• Salting the sidewalks and walkways around the store when ice is a concern.


• Keeping external facilities free of garbage and other hazards.


• Representing ICS both in and out of the store.


• Adhering to all food safety protocols, standard operating procedures, health and safety policies, and other programs and initiatives.


• Other duties as required.

We are willing to train the right candidate but most successful candidates possess these:

•  High School or GED from an accredited school system or program is preferred.


• A minimum of one year experience in a customer focused role

Skills and Abilities

• Excellent listening skills and communication skills, both verbal and written


• Ability to work under pressure, while maintaining a professional image at all times


• Work independently with little direct supervision


• Have a well-balanced concern for both task and people


• Have a genuine concern for needs of customers

Working conditions

• Job requires employee to work a variety of shifts including mornings, days, evenings, weekends and holidays.


• Job also requires employee to work with challenging customers and/or situations.


• Employees will be exposed to cold temperatures when accessing our frozen goods section and refrigerated areas.

Physical Requirements

• Long periods of standing and walking


• Frequent bending and twisting


• Manual and repetitive tasks


• Individuals will be required to lift, move, and push up to 50 lbs.
