GIS Analyst

Adecco is currently recruiting for a GIS Analyst for a 12-Month contract with a possibility of extension. The Crown Corporation Client is in the GTA, ON. The successful candidate must hold a valid Reliability Security Clearance or be eligible for it.

The GIS Analyst will have the following responsibilities:

• Runs geotargeting analysis leveraging tools;

• Performs queries and data pulls from SQL;

• Using Python, finds ways to improve processes and make current scripts more efficient;

• Liaises with internal teams, develops good working relationships and establishes a solid basis for cohesive team;

• Works towards a collaborative team environment to support corporate goals and objectives;

• Prioritizes tasks based on complexity, type of requirement and customer;

• Attend meetings on a weekly basis and as required;

• Work collaboratively to find solutions and make suggestions for efficiencies and automation

• Assemble spatial data and analyze using AcrGIS Desktop / ArcGIS Pro;

• Assist with the design of large-scale projects;

• Assist with documentation as required;

The GIS Analyst must meet the following mandatory requirements:

• Must hold a valid diploma/degree in Geography, cartography, computer science, GIS or a related field;

• 2+ years’ experience using ArcGIS on professional projects;

• 2+ years’ of related experience in a GIS environment, involved in spatial analysis or GIS application development;

• GIS experience with the following tools : ESRI, ArcMAP, Arc Math;

• Experience with SQL scripting is a strong asset;

• Knowledge of spatial data processing workflows and data modeling tools;

• Proficiency with MS excel with familiarity in database, scripting and processing tools;

• Clear Communication skills;

• Experience with Python is an asset;
