Honorarium Position

Overview

The Good Times Diner Co-Directors oversee the operation of the diner, ensuring volunteers are supported and meals are provided to students in need. The Co-Directors are responsible for managing the diner’s operations twice a week and collaborating with the Services Commissioner to create a budget and strategic plan. They also ensure the diner runs smoothly, providing nutritious meals to students while fostering a positive volunteer experience. Their work helps combat food insecurity and supports student well-being.

Time Commitment and Remuneration

Term: May 1st, 2025 – April 30th, 2026

Hours: 8-10 hours per week

Honorarium: Awarded based on the Honorarium Grid in the Human Resources Policy (Click here)

Duties and Responsibilities

• Determine the vision and objectives of the Good Times Diner in collaboration with the Services Commissioner.
• Attend and oversee operations on Wednesday and Sunday to manage meal services and volunteers.
• Develop and maintain the budget with the Services Commissioner to ensure financial sustainability.
• Recruit, train, and monitor volunteers to ensure effective diner operations.
• Support GTD initiatives, including self-defense classes for volunteers, Take Home Kits, and the monthly Food Bag Giveaway.
