Job Description

CLIENT’S REQUIREMENTS

 

Scope of Services and Deliverables:

The resource will work with Business Solutions Section Land and Resource Cluster (LRC) & Ministry of Natural Resources (MNR) client groups to obtain information on the future state of the business.

For the future state business processes relating to authorities, approvals, licences and permits conduct the following generic deliverables:

 

1. Develop detailed level business process model(s)

2. Document MNR future state business processes by working with business teams to define the business processes

3. Leveraging existing MofA documentation and/or creating new MNR-specific documentation as necessary

4. Ensure all documentation is created in accordance with applicable OPS and/or LRC standards, templates, methodologies and technologies

5. Develop a Gap Analysis report to identify and assess any areas where MNR’s to-be requirements are not in alignment with the existing or planned MofA solution

6. Detail the future state of the business and provide the necessary documentation for the new business in order to achieve efficiencies

7. Assist the LRC in planning and scheduling implementation of the new IT Solution.

8. Develop business analysis documentation including but not limited to business rules, glossary, scenarios, process flows, activity diagrams, data models, non-functional requirements, business use cases and system use case identification to document the to-be business model.

9. Assist the LRC in planning and scheduling subsequent analysis work leading to the implementation of the new IT Solution

10. Lead and/or execute portions of the subsequent detailed analysis work as informed by the initial analysis and planning activities

11. Provide progress/status reports to Project Manager

12. Raise issues and risks to Project Manager in a timely manner

13. Transfer documentation and knowledge to specified Ministry employees as applicable

 

The Vendor’s Personnel will also provide the following tasks:

Ø Participate and facilitate in working group sessions with the MNR clients and stakeholders.

Ø Conduct thorough research and business analysis to clearly present options and provide recommendations and common strategies for the business lines.

Ø Provide support, guidance and advice to the project Enterprise Architecture team members in the development of business architecture deliverables.

Ø Create, leverage and/or update business modelling deliverables including but not limited to:

- Gap Analysis Report(s)

- Business Process Models / Activity Diagrams (i.e. Workflows and related illustrations) -Conceptual Data Model

-Logical Data Model

- Business Object Catalogue - Business Events documents

- Business Use Case Model (with descriptions) - Business Use Case Specifications documents - Business Rules Document

- Business Glossary

- Business Scenarios Document

- Non-functional Business Requirements

- System Use Case Model (with descriptions) - System Vision Statement

Ø Assist the LRC in planning and scheduling further analysis and implementation of the new IT Solution.

Ø Provide progress/status reports to Project Manager

Ø Raise issues to Project Manager in a timely manner
