We are looking for an experienced Grades Foreman to lead and manage day-to-day construction activities on commercial, industrial, and multi-family projects.
The successful candidate will be responsible for running the jobsite, coordinating crews and equipment, and ensuring earthworks and grading activities are completed safely, accurately, and on schedule.
This is a hands-on leadership position for someone with strong experience in earthworks, grading, footings, and cut-and-fill operations who can confidently read construction drawings and use GPS grading technology.
Responsibilities Included:
Overseeing crew of 4-8 people on earthworks and grading projects throughout the GTA
Type of work includes bulk earthmoving, grading, bulk excavations, detail excavation (foundations), road/parking lot grading, slab-on-grade grading, etc.
Executing work, meeting productions
Reporting daily of work executed, along with productions, employee time and safety submittals
Working and communicating with Superintendents and Project Managers/Coordinators relative to progress and site issues
GPS experience is an asset

Requirements
Strong previous experience as a Grades Foreman or similar senior construction role
Extensive experience with earthworks and grading
Experience with commercial, industrial, and/or multi-family construction projects
Strong knowledge of footings and cut-and-fill operations
Ability to confidently read and understand construction drawings
Experience using Trimble, Topcon, or similar GPS grading systems
Strong leadership and jobsite management skills
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal
Professional approach and strong work ethic
Ability to work independently and take responsibility for the jobsite
Strong safety awareness and commitment to following site procedures
Legally eligible to work in Canada
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience managing larger crews and multiple pieces of heavy equipment
Experience working with surveyors and project management teams
Strong understanding of construction site layout and grade control
Relevant safety certifications
Valid driver's licence
