Grounds Person/Apprentice Arborist

POWERGROUP Resources, on behalf of our client Arborwood Tree Service Inc., is currently seeking a skilled Grounds Person/Apprentice Arborist to join our team. What you will do:

• Assist arborists with tree removals, pruning, and other arboricultural tasks
• Prepare and clean up job sites before and after work
• Drag and chip brush, operate ground equipment (chipper, chainsaw, etc.)
• Help load and unload equipment and materials
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Follow all safety protocols and company procedures
• Provide support to the crew to ensure efficient workflow

• 1-2 years of experience in landscaping, construction, or tree care

• Experience in tree care, arboriculture, landscaping, forestry, construction, excavation, farming, or other physically demanding outdoor work
• Experience using chainsaws, wood chippers, brush equipment, power tools, or hand tools safely is an asset
• A valid G-Class driver’s license (DZ license is an asset)
• Clean driver’s abstract
• Valid First Aid & CPR Certification (or willing to obtain)
• Working at Heights Certification (or willing to obtain)
• Strong work ethic and reliability
• Willingness to learn and take direction
• Physically fit and able to perform manual labour in all weather conditions
• Safety-conscious with a positive attitude
• Team-oriented with good communication skills
• Experience in landscaping, construction, or tree care is an asset
• Interest in pursuing a career in arboriculture

• $22-$26 per hour
