Grower (Horticulture in Field)

Tree Time Greenhouses is looking for a Horticulturist with a minimum Certificate level certification to work under our Head Grower. We are a production facility with field produced cutting material.

The right candidate will:

Assess and carry out appropriate horticultural practices to maximize production of field grown nursery material. This includes dormant cuttings and seed orchard plants. Additionally to support all aspects of production at Tree Time Greenhouses.

• Dormant sticks
  
  
  
  • destructive cuttings for projections Head Grower on a specific schedule 
  
  
  • Uses projections to make estimates on production numbers, communicates this to head grower
  
  
  • closely monitoring for dormancy and in constant communication with head grower and supervisor of potential timeline to start dormant cuttings
  
  
  
  


• Seed Orchard/Stooling Beds/Soft scape maintenance
  
  
  
  • Planting new plant installments as per Head Grower
  
  
  • Weed control
  
  
  
  


• Monitors entire property monthly for weed pressure
  
  
  
  • Noxious weeds, invasive weeds, etc.
  
  
  
  

• Maintenance/ Inventory on all 2 stroke equipment and hand tools as well as materials needed for grounds  


• Supports production as needed
  
  
  
  • As directed by supervisor or Head Grower
