Guidance Counsellor

Sturgeon Lake Central School is seeking a full time Guidance Counsellor.

About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Guidance Counsellor to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting students as they navigate their academic journey and prepare for life after high school.

Key Responsibilities:

• Advise students on high school credit requirements and graduation pathways.


• Provide postsecondary advisement, including career planning and program selection.


• Assist students with applications for postsecondary institutions, scholarships, and funding opportunities.


• Collaborate with teachers, administration, and families to support student success.

Qualifications:

• Preferred Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) or a degree in Social Work.


• Strong knowledge of high school credit pathways and postsecondary options.


• Excellent communication and organizational skills.


• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.


• Experience with MySchoolSask (MSS) is considered an asset.
