This is a full-time on-site role for a Handyman Mud and Taper (ISM). This role involves working on projects at various locations, such as Jasper, Banff, and other sites across Alberta, requiring travel as needed. This role involves physical labour, including site preparation, loading/unloading materials, operating hand and power tools, and assisting in various construction tasks. The Handyman Mud and Taper (ISM) will work closely with the Site Supervisor and other trades to help ensure timely project completion with the highest quality standards.

Who You Are:
You are a skilled Handyman specializing in drywall finishing (mud and tape) with a strong background in commercial interiors and renovations. You take pride in clean finishes, efficient work habits, and doing the job right the first time.
Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience as a Handyman and/or Drywall Finisher in restaurant, retail, and commercial construction environments.
Proven expertise in drywall installation, taping, mudding, sanding, and finishing to a high standard, including patching and repairs.
Solid working knowledge of framing, carpentry, flooring, tile, and general interior finishing.
Comfortable using hand and power tools daily and performing physically demanding work.
Strong understanding of construction safety standards with the ability to identify and mitigate on-site hazards.
Accountable, self-motivated, and committed to delivering high-quality workmanship.
A problem-solver who takes initiative and pushes through challenges rather than waiting for direction.
Bonus: experience working on heritage renovations, high-end commercial interiors, or luxury hospitality projects (e.g., 5-star hotels). A forward thinker who demonstrates resilience, ownership, and attention to detail on every task.
Prepare and maintain work areas, including cleaning sites and removing debris or hazards.
Load, unload, and transport materials efficiently throughout the site.
Work collaboratively with site supervisors and other trades to complete interior renovation scopes on schedule.
Complete framing, patching, painting, and minor carpentry tasks as required.
Assist with the setup and safe use of scaffolding, shoring, and temporary supports.
Apply waterproofing materials and support concrete finishing work where required.
Maintain a clean, organized work environment while adhering to all safety protocols
Maintain a clean and organized work area, removing debris and securing tools.
Respond to questions from site workers, subcontractors, and others by directing inquiries to the appropriate personnel, like the Site Supervisor or Project Manager.
Safety and Compliance:
Adhere to health and safety regulations and ensure all team members follow site safety practices
Wear and enforce the use of required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Report hazards or safety concerns promptly to the Site Supervisor
Must have: Basic Health & Safety certifications as per Alberta construction requirements.
