Head Chef

Located in the heart of the Financial District, Wine Academy is a private social club. With 24 hour access, our 6000+ square foot, two-story space is perfect for conducting business, entertaining guests, or hosting a private dinner parties. We are looking for an Executive Chef to join our team!

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Self-driven leader with a passion for food and strong communication skills


• Ordering and scheduling


• Creating fully executable menus for daily service and events.


• Recruit, train and supervise all BOH staff


• Ensure a high standard of service


• Cooking for Events & Large Gatherings


• Expedite orders in a timely and organized fashion


• Pay close attention to the timing of orders in order to provide the freshest foods possible and maintain timely service to the guests


• Must maintain a clean and sanitary work environment (work station, refrigerators, storage etc)


• Use safe food handling procedures


• Minimize food waste


• Ensure that all food products are stored properly with proper labelling


• Capable of working independently and unsupervised


• Wine pairing knowledge is an asset


• Occasional member facing time


• Willing to accomodate to dietary restrictions

Job Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of experience


• Fluency in English both written and verbal


• Food Handler Certificate required


• Smart serve an asset

Schedule:

• Monday - Friday


• 40-50hrs/week

• Sous Chef: 1 year (preferred)


• Culinary: 3 years (required)
