Head of Trading Documentation

Validus Risk Management is seeking an experienced and driven individual to join our team as the Head of North America Trading Operations. As the Head of North America Trading Operations, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of trading operations, ensuring smooth and efficient execution of trades across various markets. You will lead a team of talented professionals and collaborate closely with other departments to develop and implement trading strategies and processes that align with our business objectives.

• Manage and oversee all trading operations activities, including trade confirmation, payment facilitation, reconciliation and regulatory reporting
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices
• Develop and implement trading strategies and processes to optimize trading efficiency and profitability
• Collaborate with other departments, such as risk management and compliance, to ensure effective risk control measures are in place
• Lead and mentor the trading operations team, providing guidance and support
• Monitor and analyse trading data and performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement
• Stay up-to-date with market trends and developments, assessing potential impact on trading operations
• Manage relationships with external counterparties, brokers, and vendors
• Participate in strategic decision-making and contribute to the overall growth and success of the company

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in trading operations, preferably in a leadership role
• In-depth knowledge of financial markets and trading operations, including trade execution, settlement, and risk management Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and industry best practices
• Proven track record in developing and implementing trading strategies and processes
• Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work effectively under pressure • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or a related field
• Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CFA, FRM) are a plus
• ISDA Negotiating
