Schedule: Variety of shifts including overnights and weekends
Pay Rate: $27.00/hour

Overview

Paladin Security is seeking professional and dedicated Healthcare Security Guards to join our team in High Level, AB. As a key member of a national leader in security services, you will help ensure a safe and secure environment for patients, staff, and visitors within healthcare facilities.

This role requires strong communication skills, sound decision-making, and the ability to remain calm and professional in dynamic environments.

Responsibilities

• Apply strong decision-making and communication skills in all security and safety duties
• Ensure safety and emergency procedures are followed
• Follow Post Orders and complete site-specific training
• Conduct traffic and pedestrian control at access points
• Patrol assigned areas on foot and in a motor vehicle
• Monitor for safety hazards, infractions, and irregularities
• Report security breaches, hazards, and emergency situations
• Provide assistance to individuals in need
• Contact emergency responders when required
• Maintain strict confidentiality and integrity of information
• Respond to inquiries professionally and appropriately
• Utilize two-way radios and computer applications
• Promote workplace safety and act with professionalism and integrity
• Support and motivate team members

• Must live within 30 minutes of High Level, AB
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License or higher
• Own reliable vehicle
• Full availability, including overnight shifts and weekends
• Ability to obtain an Alberta Security License
• Authorized to legally work in Canada
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong interpersonal and customer service abilities
• Ability to write comprehensive reports and maintain logs
• Ability to make immediate decisions and remain composed in emergencies
• Discretion when handling confidential information
• Ability to work under pressure
• Physically capable of walking 18–20 km per shift and climbing stairs
