Compensation: $20.50/hour
Employment Type: Full-Time & Casual Shifts Available
Shifts: 0700–1900 / 1900–0700 (Rotating)

What You'll Do:

• Conduct proactive patrols of hospital grounds, entrances, and key facilities
• Monitor security cameras and alarm systems
• Control access to sensitive or restricted areas
• Respond to emergencies and support hospital staff in high-pressure situations
• Deliver professional, courteous service to patients, visitors, and healthcare teams
• Write clear, timely incident and activity reports
• Enforce hospital policies with calm authority and respect
• Partner with law enforcement and hospital staff for coordinated safety responses

What You Bring:

• Must be 19+ and legally eligible to work in Canada
• Valid Class 5 driver's license and reliable vehicle
• Eligible for Nova Scotia Security License (Paladin will assist)
• Current Standard First Aid & CPR Level C
• Certifications in UoF (Use of Force) and MOAB (Management of Aggressive Behavior) preferred — free Paladin training available with a 6-month employment commitment
• Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and problem-solving skills
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken
• Experience in security, law enforcement, or healthcare settings is a strong asset
• Must be a current New Glasgow, NS resident
