Site Overview

CNRHC is a major acute care referral centre in the region, offering 130+ acute care beds and a wide range of specialty services including neurology, pediatrics, psychiatry, radiology, and more. The site provides 24/7 emergency care and a wide range of diagnostic services.

About the Role

As a Shift Lead, you will oversee day-to-day site operations and a team of Security Officers, ensuring safety protocols are followed and delivering superior customer service. You’ll work closely with NL Health Services management, perform site patrols, respond to emergency codes, and maintain accurate reporting.

Schedule:

• Full-Time
• Daytime shifts
• Some weekend availability required
• Overtime paid after 48 hours

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and support security officers on-site
• Enforce Paladin Security & NL Health Services safety policies
• Conduct training, orientations, and compliance checks
• Manage daily shift paperwork, documentation, and reporting
• Assist with schedule coordination, shift coverage, and incident responses
• Attend site meetings and support with last-minute bookings or emergencies
• Participate in fire drills, safety briefings, and maintain incident records

• Must currently reside in or near Grand Falls-Windsor, NL

• At least 19 years of age
• Valid Class 5 Driver's License and reliable transportation
• Standard First Aid & CPR – Level C (CSA-approved)
• Clean criminal background check & vulnerable sector check
• COVID-19 vaccination (2 doses)
• Immunization records for MMR, Varicella, TB (two-step)
• Strong verbal and written English skills
• Prior security, law enforcement, or supervisory experience preferred
• High school diploma required
