Role Summary:
The Healthy by Nature Administrator’s role is to register new health care professionals in the PaRx program, support nature prescription fulfilment, and grow program evaluation methods. The Healthy by Nature Administrator will also support the distribution of Learning by Nature grants to schools and support the collection and analysis of program data. The ideal candidate will have experience working with health professionals and/or educators, have strong communication skills, and an excellent attention to detail.
Main Responsibilities
Register healthcare providers for the PaRx program
Support PaRx nature prescription fulfilment
Distribute Learning by Nature grants to schools, and support grant recipients
Prioritize and support email inquires from PaRx prescribers, PaRx patients, and educators
Administer and analyze program feedback surveys, including ArcGIS data
Maintain and grow the evidence-based resources on the PaRx and Healthy by Nature websites
Maintain program dashboards, reporting on metrics, accomplishments, risks and opportunities, and making recommendations on new strategies and approaches
Contribute to and utilize a data driven research and evaluation system that allows the Foundation to assess and adjust all aspects of its work in order to continually improve, in conjunction with Operations staff
Develop and recommend policies and processes where necessary to accomplish the mission and mitigate risk
Help promote a culture in Canada that values the importance of spending 2.5 hours in nature to gain the health benefits
Connect with and contribute to respectful relationships with Indigenous people
Connect with and contribute to respectful relationships with BC Parks and other park partners
Contribute to a constructive, results oriented, and inspiring organizational culture
Requirements:
Minimum 1 year experience in a similar position or related field
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Experienced in program administration and non-profit programs
Familiarity and experience working with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel
Ability to work independently with attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to exercise good judgement
Ability to read and summarize scientific articles
Interest in environmental issues and the connection between nature and health
Access to a reliable internet connection
Fluent in English
Skills and experience considered an asset:
Post-secondary education (preferably in the fields of Health, Science, Education, Curriculum, Learning)
Familiarity and experience working with Salesforce, Survey123, and/or Webflow
Training or certification in grant or project management
Fluency in French
