Position Title: Heavy Duty Journeyman Mechanic

Position Location: Kola, MB

CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS

• Heavy Duty Mechanic Journeymen certificate


• Red Seal certification is considered an asset
  


• Can complete a CVIP inspection


• 4-6 years’ experience as a Heavy-Duty Mechanic, preferably with semi-truck and trailer experience (hydraulic repairs and diesel engine repair)


• Class 5 License with a clean drivers’ abstract


• Ability to perform duties in a safe and efficient manner


• Ability to work independently while managing time and productivity


• Must have basic tools


• Current and up to date first-aid and H2S alive safety certificates is an asset


• A valid class 1 or 3 drivers’ license is considered an asset
  

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and inspections, on heavy truck and trailer equipment, in the shop and in the field.

• Complete required documentation and reporting for inspections and repairs


• Prepare work orders/cost estimates for service approval


• Conduct all job responsibilities in accordance with Vertex HSE standards, guidelines, and rules
