KLS is currently seeking an experienced Heavy Haul Driver to join our team.

Qualifications & Experience

The ideal candidate will have:

• Valid Class 1 driver’s license


• Clean driving record and ability to provide a current commercial driver’s abstract


• 5+ years of experience hauling heavy equipment


• Experience hauling equipment using hydraulic trailers, including boosters and jeeps


• Experience with up to 40-wheel combinations


• Experience operating a 6-ton picker (asset)


• Experience loading and unloading equipment such as excavators, dozers, packers, rock trucks, and scrapers


• Knowledge of City of Calgary routes and requirements


• Experience pulling permits (asset)


• Pilot truck experience (asset)


• Hoisting and rigging certification (asset)


• Ability to work weekdays, weekends, and overtime as required


• Strong communication skills to coordinate with dispatch, equipment management, operators, and project supervisors


• Experience completing logbooks


• Basic digital skills or willingness to learn — all KLS haul cards, safety documentation, and paperwork are app-based


• Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and perform in physically demanding conditions


• Must reside in Calgary or surrounding areas
