High School Teacher

The High School Teacher supports students’ academic, social, emotional, and cultural development by delivering instruction aligned with Saskatchewan curriculum outcomes. The High School Teacher contributes to a safe, inclusive, and culturally respectful learning environment that promotes student well-being and success.

We are looking for an individual with main expertise/specialty in English Language Arts and Native Studies.

Key Responsibilities

The Teacher shall:

• Plan and deliver instruction aligned with Saskatchewan curriculum outcomes


• Integrate traditional ways of knowing


• Develop and implement lesson plans that reflect diverse learning styles and needs


• Assess, evaluate, and document student learning using a variety of methods


• Maintain accurate and up-to-date student records and reporting


• Support the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs)


• Create a positive classroom environment that supports engagement and learning


• Work collaboratively with Educational Assistants, specialists, and school staff


• Integrate culturally relevant and inclusive practices where appropriate


• Support student attendance, engagement, and overall well-being

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Education


• Valid Saskatchewan Teaching Certificate


• Clean Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector Check


• First Aid/CPR certification (asset)


• Clean Driver license/abstract (asset)
