Hoist Operator

Job Title: Hoist Operator / Section 5 Operator

Location/Pay: Lower Mainland, BC, Canada ($28/hr)

Responsibilities: As a Hoist Operator / Section 5 Operator, your main responsibilities are:

1. Equipment Operation: Operate hoisting equipment safely, such as cranes and passenger/material hoists.


2. Load Management: Move materials, equipment, and people within the construction site safely.


3. Safety Compliance: Follow safety rules, including those in Section 5 of BC's Occupational Health and Safety Regulation.


4. Maintenance: Perform basic equipment checks.


5. Communication: Work closely with the construction team and follow safety protocols.


6. Documentation: Keep records of equipment checks, maintenance, and incidents as needed.

Qualifications: To be considered, candidates should have:

1. Certification: Valid Hoist Operator certification.


2. Safety Knowledge: Understanding of BC's Section 5 safety regulations.


3. Experience: Prior experience in hoist operation is a plus.


4. Physical Fitness: Ability to lift and climb as needed (Minimum, 25 lbs).
   


5. Team Player: Works well with others.


6. Reliability: Punctuality and a strong work ethic.
