The Hose Shop Technician is a key part of Multi-Power's current Projects team and is responsible for building hydraulic/pneumatic and industrial hoses, assisting customers with custom orders, managing inventory, and keeping the hose bay clean and organized. This position is ideal for a candidate who is detail oriented and loves working in a busy environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Hose Assembly & Fabrication
Cut, crimp, and assemble hydraulic and industrial hoses to work order and customer specifications.
Use up hoses that are made wrong, to minimize waste and cost
Check assemblies to ensure they meet safety and quality standards.
Customer Service
Greet and assist walk-in customers with custom hose requests.
Recommend products and solutions based on customer needs.
Complete orders in a timely and professional manner.
Inventory Management
Monitor and maintain stock of hoses, fittings, and hose ends.
Add hoses and fittings to jobs in the system.
write off hoses that are made incorrectly
Organize shelves and keep inventory properly labelled.
Shop & Safety Maintenance
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Follow all company safety procedures and operate equipment properly.
Dispose of scrap and waste material appropriately.
Teamwork & Communication
Communicate with supervisors and coworkers on stock needs and job progress.
Assist other team members and perform general shop duties when needed.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Experience with hydraulic or industrial hoses preferred, but training will be provided.
Mechanical aptitude and ability to work with hand tools and crimping machines.
Strong attention to detail and focus on safety.
Good customer service and communication skills.
Basic computer skills for inventory and job tracking.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. safely.
Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a team environment.
