We are looking for energetic, warm, and focused people to join our front door team at Moxies Nova Centre. Hosts are essential to our business as they are the first impression each guest has of our restaurant; from directly before a guest enters, the welcome, and throughout their entire experience.

Our downtown location serves the downtown community and it's visitors, from business lunches, pre-theatre dinners, celebrations, and pre-game hangouts. We have a vibrant, street-facing patio, and a bar-centric lounge space with lots of seats to watch the biggest game of the week. Our extensive Happy Hour menu runs daily from 2 to 5 and 9 to close, featuring some of our best offers for our guests.

Successful team members are people who take pride in making memorable experiences for our guests and are focused on excellence in every detail.

Key Responsibilities

·      Answering the phone to handle reservations and guest inquiries

·      Helping to maintain a clean and organized restaurant

·      Leading our front door to ensure prompt, friendly greeting and seating of each guest

·      Be a part of welcoming and training new team members

·      Providing great first impressions to all guests

·      Managing waitlist, initial guest inquiries and organizing guests at the front door

Key Requirements

·      Experience in a full-service restaurant an asset, not required

·      Must be available weekends, nights, most holidays

·      Regularly work 15-20 hours per week

·      Committed to continuous improvement

·      Ability to remain highly organized

·      Team oriented - teamwork is key to our success during busy shifts

·      Strong work ethic

·      Dependable and flexible; must be on time for shifts
