Housekeeper For Seniors

Role and Responsibilities:

Our Housekeepers play a vital role in establishing and maintaining a level of comfort and well -being for our clients living at home. The Housekeeper provides essential support services for the client with warmth and professionalism in the home environment, including, but not limited to:

• Top -to -bottom cleaning – vacuuming, dusting, bathroom and kitchen cleaning, baseboards, floors
  
• Detailed cleaning – windows, curtains and blinds, baseboards, ceiling fans and fixtures, cupboards, appliances
  
• Housekeeping – changing linens and bed sheets, laundry and ironing
  

All successful applicants will be required to provide a Clear Criminal Record with Vulnerable Sector Check

Requirements

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Listening to, understanding, and responding appropriately to client requests and needs
  
• Meeting schedules on time and in a diligent manner
  
• Accomplishing tasks within designated times with efficiency and quality
  
• Ensuring the client is in a safe and comfortable environment 
  
• Working closely with team members to ensure high quality service is delivered
  

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

• Legal working status in Canada
  
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
  

Required Skills & Credentials:

• Housekeeping and residential cleaning experience
  
• Valid driver’s license, Class 5
  
• English fluency
  
• Basic computer literacy
  

Preferred Skills:

• Experience working with seniors, persons -with -disabilities
  

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to walk/stand for long periods of time
  
• Able to lift, push, pull or carry objects up to 20lbs
  

• Strong customer service skills and empathy towards others
  
• Self -starter with high attention to detail and thoroughness
  
• Ability to multi -task and coordinate multiple priorities
  
• Ability to work within defined deadlines
  
• Ability to function within a collaborative team environment
  
• Ability to complete physically demanding work for extended periods of time
