Job Description - HR Administrator

Position Summary


The HR Administrator supports the administration, maintenance, and continuous improvement of HR information systems by managing employee data, records, reporting, and workflow processes. The role ensures data integrity, confidentiality, and timely support for employees, managers, payroll, and HR operations.


What You'll Do



  • Entering, maintaining and auditing of employee data in the HRIS system with regard to processing new hires, status changes, increases, personal information, employee benefits, terminations, and leave of absences;

  • Administration, maintenance and archiving of records and personnel files;

  • Following up with Managers and Employees and running reports to follow up to missing information;

  • Organizing the flow of paperwork received;

  • Setting up test site for payroll or HR/training departments;

  • Maintaining the highest level of data integrity, accuracy, timeliness and confidentiality;

  • Supporting employee queries;

  • Participating in the continuous improvement of HRIS programs, policies and procedures;

  • Supporting company initiatives, including the achievement of our strategic improvement goals and delivery of day-to-day services;

  • Other related duties as assigned.


What You'll Bring



  • Post Secondary Education (2 years);

  • One (1) year of previous experience;

  • The ability to work with a high degree of confidentiality is a must;

  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook);

  • Previous experience entering data into an HRIS system; Ultimate Software an asset;

  • Previous experience with payroll regulations an asset;

  • Detail oriented;

  • Adept at managing multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast paced, team-oriented environment while ensuring accuracy, confidentiality and effective time management;

  • Possess a strong client focus, combined with excellent written and verbal communications skills;

  • Superior organizational and interpersonal skills;

  • Committed to continuous improvement and display a high level of initiative, creativity and enthusiasm;

  • Ability to communicate in Inuktut a definite asset;

  • Ability to obtain and retain a Restricted Area Pass in accordance with the Airport Restricted Area Access Clearance Program regulated by Transport Canada.
