Job Description - HR Coordinator

Job Title: HR Coordinator

Location: We are seeking a HR Coordinator based in our Milton Factory location to join the HR team.

What you will be doing:

  • Submit all employee changes, including hires, job changes, terminations, promotions, and contract amendments into HRIS (Workday) in a timely manner.

  • Assist with hourly recruitment regarding interviews, interview questions, preparation etc.

  • Coordinate and participate in local and college/university career fairs.

  • Coordinate and administer employee onboarding and orientation programs.

  • Assist with onsite tours and event arrangements (e.g. PPE, room setup, meals, etc.)

  • Assist with resolving matters related to payroll and benefits for hourly employees.

  • Assist and coordinate local employee engagement events.

  • Work with the HR team to support programs related to the retention, training and development and engagement of employees.

  • Liaises with benefits carrier, third-party administrator of Short-Term Disability (STD) program, HR Helpline and supervisors/managers to address needs of employees on disability leave.

  • Prepare and maintain personnel files, updating HR reports, ensuring records are accurate and up to date.

  • Preparing HR letters, memos and updating communication boards and CCTV screens.

  • Issue security access/Dayforce clock cards for all employees and contractors; manages level of access; ordering office supplies.

  • Other HR and administrative duties as assigned.

  • What you bring:

  • 1-2 years of prior experience in a human resources, administrative assistant, or office assistant environment

  • Ability to work with confidential information.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products

  • Familiarity with HRIS preferred.

  • Excellent organization skills, attention to detail and strong desire for accuracy
