What success looks like in this role:
The HR Country Manager / HR Business Partner / Generalist for Canada will be responsible for managing and executing HR strategies, programs, and policies that align with the company's overall business objectives. This role requires a proactive and hands-on approach to support the Canadian operations, ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations, and fostering a positive and productive work environment.
HR Strategy and Planning:
Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy. Partner with senior management to understand the business needs and translate them into HR plans and solutions. Employee Relations:
Serve as a trusted advisor to employees and managers on HR-related issues. Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues and conduct thorough and objective investigations when necessary. Promote a positive work environment and enhance employee engagement. Performance Management:
Implement and manage performance management processes, including goal setting, performance reviews, and development plans. Provide coaching and support to managers on performance-related issues and employee development. Compliance and Reporting:
Ensure compliance with Canadian labor laws, regulations, and company policies. Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR reports. Conduct regular audits to ensure HR practices and documentation are compliant with legal requirements. HR Administration:
Manage day-to-day HR operations, including employee records, HRIS, and benefits administration. Develop and implement HR policies and procedures. You will be successful in this role if you have:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Minimum of 6 years of HR experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial or business partner role. Strong knowledge of Canadian labor laws and regulations. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships at all levels of the organization. Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Fluent in French is a strong preference. #LI-KB1
