Reports to: President, Dream/Machine FX North America
Dream/Machine FX is seeking a strategic and detail-oriented HR Manager to oversee all aspects of human resources, including recruitment, employee relations, and training. The HR Manager would provide high-level leadership coaching and strategic recommendations to align HR initiatives with business goals.
Job Responsibilities
Lead and manage HR projects from initiation to completion, including the full-scale roll-out of a new Employee Handbook.
Drive performance management by facilitating the evaluation program and analyzing data to provide insights for structural and organizational improvements.
Modernize HR operations by standardizing BambooHR and integrating processes with an internal proprietary resourcing tool, optimizing workflows to ensure accurate data cataloging and measurable cost savings.
Oversee and manage all employee relations matters, conducting thorough, objective investigations and mediations for complex issues while ensuring compliance with employment laws.
Directly supervise and mentor HR staff, having successfully executed the full cycle of hiring, onboarding, and performance-setting for direct reports.
Maintain internal job architecture by creating and managing a Standardized Job Inventory to fill gaps and define new roles effectively.
Oversee Joint Health and Safety committee (JHSC) to ensure compliance with federal and provincial regulations.
Manage complex talent acquisition and global mobility, including leading large-scale hiring blitzes, revamping recruitment processes via Hiring Manager touchpoints, and navigating LMIA/international work permit processes.
Facilitate organizational growth through acquisitions, handling sensitive visa and onboarding transitions for international teams under accelerated timelines.
Handle sensitive and confidential information with the utmost integrity while fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.
Qualifications & Essential Skills
Proven experience in human resources management, specifically in environments requiring process scaling or acquisition integration.
Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations (Expertise in Ontario required; Quebec and US onboarding experience an asset).
Proficiency in HRIS and Resourcing tools, specifically BambooHR and tools such as MS Project.
Demonstrated success in global mobility, including experience with LMIA processes and work permit issues.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven track record of providing leadership coaching and resolving complex mediations.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with the ability to manage "hiring blitzes" and high-volume project roll-outs.
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
HR certification (CHRP/CHRL) is considered an asset.
Bilingual (English and French) verbal and written is considered an asset.
