WB Melback Corporation is a progressive company currently seeking to hire an experienced professional with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to fill the role as Human Resource Specialist.  As a key member of the HR Team, you will have the opportunity to be a part of a fast-paced and dynamic company, supporting various HR functions and projects.   The HR team ensures that HR processes including full cycle recruitment, hiring, on-boarding, and training are running smoothly.  This role offers a competitive salary and extended health benefits.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage the whole employee life cycle from on-boarding to off-boarding processes.


• Source and attract candidates through identifying and utilizing the latest recruitment tools and strategies.


• Recruitment, hiring, on-boarding, and training of employees.


• Prepare job postings, resume screenings, interview candidates.


• Maintaining and updating employee files.


• Effectively manage a high volume of candidates on a national level.


• Demonstrate professional competence and maintaining strict confidentiality when handling sensitive documents and employee information.


• Exceptional organizational and prioritization skills with a high attention to detail.


• Other administrative tasks as required.


• Some travel may be required with this position.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Diploma in HR, Business Administration, or equivalent in a relevant discipline, preferred.


• CHRP designation or working towards is considered an asset.


• Experience working in a unionized environment preferred.


• Experience in the construction industry is considered an asset.


• Related experience in the field including talent acquisition.


• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.


• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.


• Experience with Bamboo HR Software and Indeed preferred.


• Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.


• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships at all levels within the organization.
