Join Our Team as HVAC Certified Facility Maintenance Technician

The Ambassador Bridge is looking for Full Time HVAC Certified Facility Maintenance Technicians members to join our outstanding group in Windsor, Ontario. Our construction and facility maintenance crew members cover a wide range of duties for preventative maintenance, repair and improvement to our facilities, structures and equipment.

Starting Rate: $32.29 per hour

General Duties Include:

1. Plumbing


2. Electrical


3. HVAC


4. Drywall installation and repair


5. Painting – interior and exterior


6. Tile installing and repair


7. Concrete and paving work


8. Operation of company vehicles on company property and public roadways (including snow plows)


9. Operation of heavy equipment including backhoe, end loader and plow trucks


10. Spot, MIG and/or TIG welding to repair and maintain equipment and structures as needed


11. Diagnose and repair maintenance equipment and facility mechanicals on as needed basis


12. Walk long distances as needed to address maintenance issues


13. Operate, lift, transport and distribute supplies such as snow blowers, salt bags, shop vacs, fertilizer, etc.


14. Potential aerial work with lifts and cranes at heights up to 150 feet

Qualified candidates must have the following:

• Able to stand, walk, crouch stoop and sit for varying times during shifts up to 12 hours long


• Safely use hand tools and power tools such as wrenches, pliers, saws, drills, torches, etc.


• Lift and carry 50 pounds for sustained distances


• Have a high school diploma or equivalent


• Have at least 3 years of general maintenance and/or facilities repair experience


• Prior exposure to operating construction/maintenance equipment such as backhoe and end loader


• At least 3 years’ experience in welding steel (preferred)


• Experience in underground work such as utilities, sewer, and placement of concrete (preferred)


• Class D or DZ Commercial Drivers’ License (preferred)

All offers of employment are contingent upon the following:

• Ability to be bonded


• Successful completion of background check


• Verification of references and satisfactory driving record


• Possession of, or ability to obtain an enhanced driver’s license, passport or Nexus card


• Possesses or able to obtain security reliability status


• HVAC certification (preferred)
