JOB SUMMARY: The Agency is partnering with Kaymor to recruit a full-time Hydraulic Shop Foreman.
The Hydraulic Shop Foreman will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Hydraulic Shop. This role includes supervising and coordinating shop activities, ensuring quality control, liaising with customers, quoting jobs, designing new hydraulic systems, and scheduling worker activities. The Foreman will also verify dimensions, maintain inspection reports and records, analyze work orders and blueprints to determine supply needs and required tasks, diagnose hydraulic issues, and identify appropriate repairs. Additionally, the Foreman will ensure a safe work environment and coordinate all aspects of the Hydraulic department.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Meet with customers to assess work requirements and provide accurate estimates and quotes for necessary jobs
Generate work orders, check stock, and coordinate with other departments or 3rd party services
Tag all jobs and customer property for identification and store them securely
Ensure compliance with ISO 9001/2015 standards, including controlled documents and record maintenance
Read diagrams, schematic drawings, and service manuals to determine work procedures
Oversee in-process and final quality control inspections by qualified personnel
Liaise with purchasing and yard personnel to maintain adequate inventory and raw materials
Schedule orders and manage the pickup and delivery of materials and products
Assign jobs to qualified personnel and address training needs for new and existing staff
Conduct daily shop meetings, promoting safe and professional work habits, adhering to safety codes and labor regulations
Maintain a clean and organized shop, assigning machine and tooling maintenance
Perform annual performance and development reviews of direct reports
Fulfill shop floor orders and troubleshoot maintain, and repair hydraulic and pneumatic equipment as needed
Execute other tasks as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
Extensive knowledge and experience in hydraulics
Journeyman Certificate in Heavy Duty Mechanic or Millwright considered an asset
Service-oriented and driven to exceed customer expectations
Strong time management skills with excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to adapt to a changing environment
Ability to maintain a work schedule and work flexible hours beyond standard hours
Must hold a valid driver's license
