Job Description - Ice District Multi-Unit Events Manager


        

We are looking for an outgoing, determined and passionate professional committed to the development of our Ice District locations of The Canadian Icehouse and The Banquet Bar. 

The Event's Manager role is one where we are looking for the best, both in culture fit and experience, to fill the role. We believe in tailor-fitting each position on our team with the right person, and that could be you!

Job Responsibility Summary:

  • Plan, coordinate and execute all aspects of events and VIP bookings
  • Experience and success in developing/building relationships with guests
  • Responsible for ensuring the event is successful
  • Follow up post event with all bookings to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Coordinate staffing and ordering needs for events with appropriate managers 
  • Host events and be main point of contact for the guest planning the event
  • Manage a flexible work schedule to align with events

Requirements: 

  • Education or Certification in Event Management an asset
  • Minimum 2 years experience in event management
  • Strong interpersonal, communications and customer service skills
  • Expectation to respond to client and supplier inquiries within 24 business hours
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize to successfully manage multiple events
  • Outgoing, fun and energetic personality
  • Proven ability to problem solve and make decisions
  • High level of personal organization and time management 
  • Inherent ability to lead, coach, mentor, and motivate your team
