Job Description - Identity and Access Management Analyst

Job Description:

On behalf of our client, Affinity is seeking an Identity and Access Management Analyst on a contract basis. The Identity and Access Management (IAM) Analyst plays a crucial role within the Corporate IT Security team, ensuring the integrity of the company’s digital assets. This position revolves around managing user identities and regulating access to information systems, applications, and data. The IAM Administrator’s primary responsibility is the oversight of the Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) platform while providing essential support to the overall IGA program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for managing the IGA platform (Saviynt) and supporting the IGA program, including:
  • Managing user provisioning and de-provisioning, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and timely removal of access for departing employees.
  • Enforcing access control policies and reviewing access requests to maintain compliance with security protocols.
  • Developing and maintaining Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) frameworks, assigning roles and permissions based on job responsibilities.
  • Administering authentication mechanisms, including multi-factor authentication (MFA), and defining authorization policies for different user roles.
  • Maintaining directory services such as Active Directory or LDAP, ensuring accurate user information.
  • Overseeing the entire identity lifecycle, collaborating with HR and other departments to synchronize identity data.
  • Conducting access reviews and audits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, and analyzing access reports to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Investigating and remediating security incidents related to identity and access management, ensuring swift resolution.
  • Developing and updating IAM policies and procedures, staying abreast of industry best practices and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborating with IT teams to integrate IAM solutions with other security and IT systems, ensuring seamless user experience.
  • Addressing technical issues through debugging and investigation, ensuring optimal system functionality.
  • Supporting the development of an Identity roadmap, focusing on short-term and long-term outcomes to enhance Saviynt platform adoption.
  • Delivering comprehensive IGA/IAM training or presentations to stakeholders and end-users to promote understanding and compliance.
  • Creating and maintaining thorough documentation for IGA and IAM systems to facilitate understanding and future reference.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in IAM technologies and tools such as (Saviynt or CyberArk or similar)
  • Knowledge of directory services such as Active Directory, LDAP, or Azure AD.
  • Understanding of authentication protocols and mechanisms.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity principles and access control concepts.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for effectively conveying IAM policies and procedures.
  • Analytical mindset for troubleshooting and proactive identification of security issues.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, HR, and other departments.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or IAM certifications are advantageous.
  • Hands-on experience in Saviynt administration and support, including day-to-day tasks, troubleshooting, and configurations.
  • Experience with projects related to implementing IGA, IAM, or PAM solutions.
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance requirements such as GDPR or HIPAA.
