The Incident Investigation Specialist leads routine incident investigations and supports complex investigations, ensuring a fair, objective, and consistent process. Working closely with operational leaders, Health and Safety teams, unions, and other stakeholders, the role coordinates investigations, gathers and analyzes information, identifies root causes and contributing factors, and develops recommendations to prevent recurrence.
The Specialist also supports corrective action implementation, provides guidance on investigation best practices, and contributes to the continuous improvement of investigation processes, training, reporting, regulatory compliance, and organizational learning.
Due to the nature of work Irving Shipbuilding does, all successful applicants must meet requirements for the Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP), Canadian Government Security clearance, and U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
Please note this position requires a full-time, in-office presence.
