Open Opportunity:



Rutherford International is establishing a marketplace of Tier One freelance management consultants to facilitate the full-cycle interaction between the professional service provider and the contracting client. Subject to deal size and type, clients are invited to solicit expertise from our advisory marketplace by submitting an RFI or RFP request to our Advisory Marketplace for free.

Acting as a nexus between client and consultant, Rutherford International seeks smart, hardworking independent management consultants available to contract on-site or remotely with its network of REITs, investment managers, bankers, hedge and PE fund contacts.

Skills Profile

Our Management Consultants:

Consultants have proven technical and communicative competency applying advanced technical skills and extensive professional experience in structured finance, IPO’s, M&A, management consulting, investment analysis, corporate strategy and performance improvement management. They are particularly adept at financial modelling, business plan development, due-diligence/M&A support, industry research, marketing plans, roadshow & presentation material coordination. 

Our Restructuring/Turnaround Consultants:

Restructuring and turnaround consultants are experienced operators and industry veterans capable of the decisive action required to transform organisations and help their clients adapt change into a strategic business asset, manage risk and unlock value.

Critical Attributes / Competencies:

Common to all members within our advisory marketplace is their exceptional educational backgrounds, diverse career experience and capacity for adapting to a variety of business environments. The Clearinghouse represents globally astute experts who have prior experience in either a corporate office, tier one management consultancy, investment banking or private equity firm. Exceptionalism is expected and partially measured by having advanced degrees from top academic institutions.

What is the key hurdle for acceptance in the Consultant Clearinghouse?

Consultants must agree to a rigorous vetting of their education, work experience and agree to a science-based assessment which correlates your potential to high-perform in management consulting, the C-Suite, finance, engineering, sales, project management and operational functions. Rutherford International's assessment methodology is rated by the American Psychologists Association to be 85% accurate in predicting performance potential.

Will you allow a client to convert my consulting contract to full-time employment?

Of course! However, the employer pays us a fee, along with a signing bonus to the consultant. It's not uncommon for a contracting client to "test drive" a consultant for six months and then seek to convert their status to gainful employment.

For a variety of reasons, our management consultants find off-site flex-work consulting contracts more conducive to their needs so only a limited few are open to conversion. We simply ask that consultants and clients declare in advance their intention so we can ensure Consultants open to contract conversion receive the relevant RFI.

Can the Board of Directors convert your CRO/CTO consultant to the C-Suite?

In this instance, each situation is dealt with differently. We approach conversion of our “restructuring/turnaround” and “sales/marketing” marketplace members individually. Generally, the duration of their contracts span longer terms and embedment into the client organisation.
